One of my most popular sewing patterns is this hourglass-shaped dress! When I made this sewing pattern, I wanted to simplify complex corset-making techniques into a design that is easy to sew but keeps the same structured look. It took many tries and adjustments, but in the end, it turned out exactly as I imagined.
This strapless corset dress sewing pattern has a stiff, boned bodice, a cinched waist, and a flared, bell-shaped mini skirt, creating an hourglass silhouette. The dress is fully lined, with the lining acting as a built-in corset for structure and support.
